Nestled on a peaceful mountainside and surrounded by tall pine, aspen, and oak trees, Crestview Cabin is a fully remodeled, high-end 3-bedroom, 3-bath retreat perfect for families, couples, or groups seeking a luxurious yet rustic getaway. A short walk from Cowles Ponds and within earshot of the Pecos River, this spacious two-story cabin features huge double decks, outdoor firepit, swing chairs, hammocks, and picnic tables for unforgettable moments in nature.

Inside, you’ll enjoy a fully stocked, modern kitchen, cozy living spaces, and stylish touches throughout—including a wood-burning stove that warms the entire home.

First Floor:

• Master Suite 1 – Queen bed, private ensuite bathroom, and a charming loft space with an additional queen mattress (ladder access—great for kids or adventurous adults!)

• Bedroom 2 – Two queen beds and access to a full hallway bathroom

• Living Room – Open-concept with wood-burning stove and views of the forested mountainside

• Kitchen & Dining – Fully renovated kitchen with cookware, spices, and a stylish dining area

• Laundry – Washer and dryer available

Second Floor:

• Master Suite 2 – Queen bed, separate private living room with sleeper sofa, and brand-new full bathroom with tub and shower

1. RENT A SINGLE ROOM: Looking for a cozy, budget-friendly stay? You can book either the Bear Den or Elk Cove, our comfortable ground-floor private rooms. Each features its own full bathroom and shares access to the charming common living area with forest views.

2. RENT The Upper Lodge (Top Two Floors): 
Enjoy the full lodge experience with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full gourmet kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and sweeping forest views from the wraparound deck. Perfect for families or small groups who want the space to unwind in style.

3. RENT Entire Ponderosa Main Lodge:
Need room for everyone? Book the entire lodge and enjoy all SIX bedrooms and four bathrooms, multiple living spaces, and full access to everything the Ponderosa Lodge has to offer. It’s ideal for retreats, reunions, or special celebrations.

The Bear Den Room 

Freshly remodeled and appointed, this is our largest room in our main cabin. Comfortable king bed. Fold down futon. Separate whirlpool tub. Separate shower. Access to common areas.

The Elk Cove 

The Elk Cove is a charming room located within the main cabin of Pecos Bed and Breakfast. This cozy retreat features a comfortable queen-sized bed, a private bathroom with a shower, heated floors, and a sitting couch. Guests staying in the Elk Cove room also have access to the common areas of the cabin, providing a welcoming and communal atmosphere.

We are in the middle of extensive renovations. Every room has received a makeover. We plan on making the entire main cabin rentable.  It will be a 6 bedroom 4 bathroom home. We have gutted the original 1963 cabin and are about 50 % completed.  We have created a new parking area, widened the roads, and created a new road down from the top area.  We have purchased a 4th cabin and will also gut that one too.
