Trade the conference room for 12 private acres in the Santa Fe National Forest. Where the Pecos River runs, real thinking happens — and real teams are built.
Why Vida Bonita Pecos
Your group has the entire property — no other guests, no hotel lobbies, no interruptions. Twelve acres of national forest with the Pecos River as your soundtrack.
At 7,700 feet, surrounded by ponderosa pines and aspen groves, your team will think more clearly, connect more deeply, and leave with real decisions made.
Everyone stays on-site. No commuting to a venue, no splitting the group across hotels. The bonding happens at the firepit after the work is done.
Trout fishing on the Pecos River, hiking in the Pecos Wilderness, stargazing at zero light pollution, bonfires under the Milky Way. The activities plan themselves.
Every cabin has a full kitchen. Bring your own groceries, hire a private chef, or have meals delivered — the setup is there for however your group wants to eat.
Starlink satellite WiFi throughout the property. Stay connected for work sessions, then truly disconnect the moment you step outside. The best of both worlds.

Common Questions
How many people can the property accommodate?
The full property comfortably sleeps 30+ guests across all six accommodations. For working sessions and gatherings, the Ponderosa Main Lodge great room and multiple outdoor deck spaces can accommodate larger groups. Contact us to discuss your specific headcount.
Is the property exclusively ours during the retreat?
Yes — when you book multiple cabins for a retreat, your group has the full property to yourselves. No other guests, no shared spaces. Complete privacy on 12 acres of national forest.
Is there a meeting/workspace area?
The Ponderosa Main Lodge has a large open great room that works well for group sessions, presentations, and workshops. Multiple outdoor deck areas are ideal for smaller breakouts. We don't have a formal conference room, which is the point — the best retreat thinking happens in real spaces, not boardrooms.
How far is the property from Albuquerque and Santa Fe?
We're approximately 1 hour from Santa Fe and 1.5 hours from Albuquerque via I-25 and NM HWY 63. Close enough for easy travel, remote enough to feel truly away.
What's the minimum stay for a retreat booking?
We recommend a minimum of 2 nights for retreats to allow your group to properly settle in and make the most of the property. Longer stays of 3–5 nights are ideal for deeper work. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
Can we bring our own food and cook ourselves?
Absolutely. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens. Many retreat groups bring their own groceries, hire a private chef, or have meals delivered from nearby Pecos or Santa Fe.
