In May 2024, our family embarked on a heartfelt journey by acquiring Wilderness Gateway Bed and Breakfast, nestled in the serene embrace of the Santa Fe National Forest. Renaming it Pecos BNB, we are dedicated to honoring the legacy of the previous owners and sharing the enchanting beauty of this region with you. Erica grew up in Las Vegas, NM, and we met while I was working as a surgeon for Lovelace in Albuquerque. The rest, as they say, is the stuff of fairy tales...

From the moment we stepped onto this area of the forest, we felt its magic—a place where the whispering pines and the gentle flow of the Pecos River invite you to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Our dream is to create a haven where you can experience the tranquility and wonder that have captivated us. Come experience it for yourself.

Our Family's Touch

With tender care, we've renovated our main cabin, embracing its Lincoln log style while adding touches that make it feel like a home away from home. The wrap-around deck now invites you to sit and watch the sunset paint the sky, and the lily pond reflects the beauty of the surrounding forest. (Do you see the hummingbird in the photo?). We've also remodeled all of the guest cabins, including purchasing the neighboring cabin that we renamed The Crestview Cabin.

• Pecos National Historical Park: Just a short drive away, this park offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Pecos Valley, featuring ancient ruins and scenic trails.  

• Santa Fe National Forest: Spanning over 1.6 million acres, the forest is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're hiking the Aspen Vista Trail, skiing at Ski Santa Fe, or simply enjoying the serene landscapes, there's something for everyone.  

• Cowles, New Mexico: A quaint community known for its fishing spots along the Pecos River, Cowles offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking solitude and natural beauty. We are a short walk from the Cowles ponds.
